The Blue House S03 E15

Dear reader, this is the last episode of this season of The Blue House and contrary to my projections, there will be another season (hopefully the last). I appreciate all your comments, suggestions and shares; it’s always good to know that people are reading and can relate to the characters I have portrayed. I’d love your feedback regarding this season and the previous ones so please send me an email at omololaopatayo@gmail.com or just leave a comment here.
Enjoy this last episode and please don’t forget to share!

After a series of meetings with the Pastor, Dapo and Ronke had decided that his counsel on the matter concerning Peace was the best. “That is what Pastor said and that is what we will do. In the meantime you must cut off all your association with that girl, do you understand?”
“Yes sir.”

The Blue House S03 E14

The atmosphere during the drive to the church office had been tension filled. Dapo wondered about his reputation and what the Pastor would say to him; would his position as a deacon be gone? Ronke wasn't at all bothered about what the outcome of the meeting would be; she had nothing to lose. Her children and her life were more important than whatever anyone had to say about her conduct. She was at peace so she leaned back in the chair and slept off. Dapo glanced at her in the rearview mirror and hissed, he didn't know this woman anymore.
Not wanting to have to wake her, he slammed hard on the brake in front of the church office building and the car rocked violently. The baby began to cry. Ronke woke up startled wondering what was going on till she saw the smirk on Dapo's face.
"You have problems!" She said to him and carried the wailing baby.

The Blue House S03 E13

"Brother Tunji?" Ayodele's head started to spin, the barber had been his greatest confidant and had helped him on his "journey to manhood as he had called it. He was married with two children and had a booming business. What could he possibly want with Peace? Ayodele concluded that she must be lying.
"You're lying!"
"I'm not! And you're the one who got me into the mess!"
"Me, how? And why are you just saying this now? When they asked you if you'd been sleeping with someone else why didn't you say something?"
"Who would have believed me? Even you don't believe me!"

The Blue House S03 E12

Last night hadn’t gone well at all. It had started well but ended horribly. They had gone to their bedroom as he had suggested and continued kissing and exploring each other’s bodies but he had suddenly become plagued with images of Olayinka and her boss having sex. Subconsciously he stopped touching her.
“What is it?” Olayinka had asked.
“Nothing, I got distracted that’s all…”
“What’s making you distracted?” she had asked softly touching his face. He pulled it away. Olayinka frowned, she became suspicious.
“I’m fine, really… it’s been a while since we’ve done this. I guess I’m a little nervous!” He laughed awkwardly.

The Blue House S03 E11

“Welcome!”
“Thank you! Oh I’ve really missed you!”
“Me too, I’m so glad you’re staying with us for a year and maybe longer…” Helen winked at Ada and they both laughed. “Has your brother told you about his new job?”
“Yeah he has and he said you’re not too happy about it.”

The Blue House S03 E10

Kunle was an optimist, he believed people could change and bad situations could turn around. In spite of the fact that he had been served divorce papers, he genuinely believed that Banke just needed to be pacified. This morning Teniola had said her first word 'mama', and he had been sad because he couldn't share the moment with Banke. He had spoken to her brothers as planned but they all said the same thing: "We can't force her to be married you."

The Blue House S03 E09

“Go!” Joke whispered to Ayodele who had begun trembling all over.
“Ayodele!” Dapo yelled again.
“I’m coming sir!” Ayodele said and finally walked out from behind the curtain, his entire body cold. Surely his father would kill him today, there was no way he could escape death after this kind of embarrassment.

The Blue House S03 E08

“Joke! Oh thank God! What are you doing here?” Ayodele looked around, whispering as he spoke.
“I followed you.”
“Why?” Ayodele was angry with this meddlesome girl who kept sticking her nose in his business. Joke was too obnoxious for his liking, no wonder she wasn’t pretty. “Why can’t you leave me alone?”

The Blue House S03 E07

Dear reader please note that this is the last season of The Blue House- yes I know I should have mentioned it earlier. Forgive me. A new series is in the works so don't despair!
In the meantime, enjoy the rest of the season while it lasts;)

"Hello?” Ayodele wasn’t sure he had heard correctly.
“Ayodele it’s Peace…”
He had suffered a great deal because of this girl, why was she calling him now?  “Peace? Why are you calling me?”

The Blue House S03 E06

“Mummy please I need your help. I’ve tried talking to Banke but she won’t listen to me. She insists on leaving me!”
“Kunle there’s nothing I can do. I’ve tried talking to her myself but she doesn’t want to be married to you anymore and it’s sad because regardless of your faults I think you are the right man for her but she says she knows what she’s doing. I can’t force her to be married to you.” Banke’s mother said sadly.
Kunle sighed. “Thank you ma.”

The Blue House S03 E05

Dapo waited for the children to be in bed before he confronted Ronke. “So what have you been telling Sister Funso?”
Ronke gave him a weird look. “What have I been telling Sister Funso? The only thing we’ve been talking about is choosing a good secondary school for Joke. What did she say I told her?”
“You’re lying. She came to me today after the fellowship and accused me of being a bad parent. She couldn’t have been so bold to say such a thing if you didn’t tell her what been going on in this house.”
Ronke didn’t know how to respond to Dapo’s accusations so she laughed and nestled herself into the bed.

The Blue House S03 E04

Dapo was thoroughly embarrassed but there was nothing he could do about the situation. They were hosting another Sunday house fellowship and Sister Funso was leading the prayers. They had been praying for the past seven minutes for the purity of their teenagers, Sister Funso was convinced that a wave of sexual immorality was blowing and they needed to shield themselves from it. Ayodele was standing opposite her and the poor boy hung his head in shame barely moving his lips. Ronke was breastfeeding the baby in the bedroom but she could hear every prayer point, she gladly fed her baby for as long as she wanted.
